PITTSBURGH — A West Virginia corporation is suing a Pittsburgh-based convenience store, citing alleged breach of contract and unjust enrichment.

Chas M. Sledd Co. filed a complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Weiss Enterprises Inc., doing business as Smithfield News; Brian C. Weiss; Edward R. Weiss, also known as Eddie Weiss; and Sharyn L. Weiss, alleging they did not pay the plaintiff for certain goods at the agreed-upon price.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges it sustained financial damages as the result of not being paid for delivered goods. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly ordered and accepted goods from the plaintiff worth $812,400.66 but failed to pay.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant to satisfy the obligation owed to the plaintiff and any further relief this court grants. It is represented by Nicholas D. Krawec of Bernstein-Burkley P.C. in Pittsburgh.
