Nurse alleges Faithful Nursing terminated her in retaliation for harassment complaints

Wrongful term 03

EASTON – A Lancaster woman alleges she was terminated from her job because she complained about sexual harassment.

Aisha Griggs filed a complaint on Oct. 11 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Faithful Nursing LP citing Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff began her employment with the defendant in December 2015 as an at-home nurse. She alleges she reported that the son of a client was sexually harassing her on April 20, 2016, and then was terminated a few days later.

The plaintiff holds Faithful Nursing LP responsible because the defendant allegedly terminated plaintiff's employment based on the false claim that four clients refused to work with her. She alleges she was terminated for filing a complaint about being sexually harassed at work.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant for lost pay, lost bonuses, lost benefits, other financial losses, compensatory damages, punitive damages, court costs, interest reinstatement, and any further relief the court grants. She is represented by Samuel A. Dion and Richard B. Bateman Jr. of Dion & Goldberger in Philadelphia.
