HARRISBURG – A Dauphin County man alleges his late wife's death benefits were deceitfully dispersed.
Andre L. Howerton filed a complaint on Oct. 18 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania against Metlife CEO Steven A. Kandarian, Metlife, VISA CEO Alfred F. Kelly Jr., VISA, Supervisor Dave and Contessa Segura alleging violation of his constitutional rights.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff's late wife worked for VISA before her death in July 2017. The plaintiff alleges that MetLife was unsure of how to disperse the death payment benefits so it contacted VISA, who sent a document that did not have a proper date. The suit states MetLife then dispersed the funds according to the VISA document. The plaintiff is disputing this decision over allegations that the defendants "erroneously, falsely and deceitfully dispersed the plaintiff's wife [Monica Ellis Howeron] death benefits."
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in the amount of $1 billion. He is representing himself.
