Strike 3 Holdings claims adult movies are unlawfully distributed on BitTorrent

PHILADELPHIA – Delaware corporation alleges that an individual only known by his or her IP address has been illegally downloading and distributing its adult movies on BitTorrent.

Strike 3 Holdings LLC filed a complaint on Oct. 26 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against John Doe subscriber assigned IP address 69.249.233.123 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is the owner of award-winning adult movies that it distributes via DVDs and certain adult websites. It alleges that the defendant has been recorded infringing 69 of the plaintiff's movies and has been downloading and distributing the movies via BitTorrent.

The plaintiff claims that it used IP address geolocation technology to trace the defendant's IP address to a physical address in the court's district.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendant, order the defendant to delete and permanently remove the digital media files relating to the plaintiff's works, statutory damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants.
