PHILADELPHIA – A Richboro man alleges his late sister and her husband conspired to gain control over assets to his business.

William Deckard Sr. filed a complaint on Nov. 17 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the estate of Kathleen Emory, Steven Emory, et al. alleging fraud and breach of fiduciary duty and conspiracy.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff and Kathleen Emory are siblings. The suit states that the plaintiff and his late mother Gloria Deckard operated a beer distributor business known as the Beer Hut in 1978, and his mother was the bookkeeper until her death in 2012.

The suit states that after Kathleen Emory's death in August 2016, the plaintiff was examining records and determined "the probability is high that defendants had likely been stealing Beer Hut cash deposits entrusted to Mrs. Deckhard for years before Gloria Deckhard's death."

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks full accounting of the estate of Gloria Deckard, damages done to the plaintiff's business, compensatory damages, punitive damages, court costs, interest, exemplary damages and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Peter Blust in Edgewater Park, New Jersey.
