PITTSBURGH – A West Alexander joint employer alleges a former employee misappropriated trade secrets.
All-Pump & Equip. Co. and RAM Industrial Services LLC filed a complaint on Nov. 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Steel City Field Service Inc., Kevin Hancher and Jennifer Hancher alleging breach of contract and other counts.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs provide pump solutions for domestic water and wastewater applications and Kevin Hancher is a former employee of the plaintiffs. The suit states Kevin Hancher resigned in October.
The plaintiffs hold Steel City Field Service Inc., Kevin Hancher and Jennifer Hancher responsible because Kevin Hancher allegedly misappropriated the plaintiffs' trade secrets and shared them with Steel City without their consent.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek to enjoin the defendants from interfering with the plaintiff's contracts and customers, all damages, exemplary damages, court costs, and any further relief the court grants. It is represented by Clare Gallagher, Robert Campedel and Derek J. Illar of Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott LLC in Pittsburgh and Brian P. Baggott and Jacqueline M. Whipple of Dentons US LLP in Kansas City, Missouri.
