Loan officers allege Meridian Bank failed to pay minimum, overtime wages

PHILADELPHIA – New Jersey and Pennsylvania residents allege they were not paid minimum or overtime wages by a Malvern-headquartered bank.

Juan Jordan, Cheri Uhrinek and Jack Minnig filed a complaint on behalf themselves and all others similarly situated on Nov. 21 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Meridian Bank, Thomas Campbell and Christopher Annas citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs were sales loan officers and sold residential mortgage loans for the defendants. They allege they were paid on a commission-only basis, which did not include overtime.

The plaintiffs holds Meridian Bank, Campbell and Annas responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay minimum wages to the plaintiff or overtime wages for hours worked that exceeds 40 hours per week.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek compensatory and liquidated damages, court costs, injunction and any further relief the court grants. They are represented by Stephen Zouras LLP in Philadelphia and Chicago; Erik Langeland PC of New York; and Tostrud Law Group PC in Los Angeles.
