Medical malpractice 03

SCRANTON – A Florida woman has filed suit against an East Stroudsburg nursing home over the care given to her late mother.

Terri Allfrey, individually and as administratrix of the estate of Mary Ann Miller, filed a complaint on Nov. 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania against GGBSC East Stroudsburg LP, GGNSC East Stroudsburg GP LLC, et al. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Miller was admitted to the defendants' Golden Living Center - Stroud facility on Nov. 28, 2015. The plaintiff alleges that the defendants failed to adequately treat Miller and prevent the development of sores. The suit states Miller died in February 2016.

The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to care for Miller in a manner that maintained her dignity and failed to conduct comprehensive and accurate assessments.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds the arbitration limit of this court, interest and any further relief this court grants plus damages. She is represented by Kevin P. Foley of The Foley Law Firm in Scranton.
