Consumer seeks more than $99,000 from HBW Leads, others over robocalls

PHILADELPHIA – A Jenkintown man is seeking damages from several companies over alleged robocalls.

Andrew R. Perrong filed a complaint on Dec. 4 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against HBW Leads LLC, Jeremy Winn, et al. citing the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that beginning on Nov. 22, the defendants contacted him using an automatic telephone dialing system without his consent.

The plaintiff holds HBW Leads LLC, Jeremy Winn, et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly used an automatic telephone dialing system to contact the plaintiff despite being registered in the Do Not Call registry.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory damages of $99,000; compensatory, general, incidental and consequential damages; punitive and special damages; interest; court costs and any further relief the court grants. He is representing himself.
