PHILADELPHIA – Two Jeffersonville residents allege they are owed unpaid wages from when they worked at a King of Prussia retail store.
Leontine Boa and Felicia Nanguy filed a complaint on Dec. 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Novesa USA Inc., Wale Sola and Samuel Essien citing the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Pennsylvania Minimum Wage Act and the Pennsylvania Wage Payment and Collection Law.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs worked at the defendants' King of Prussia Mall Novesa retail store until September. They allege they worked approximately 73 hours per week.
The plaintiffs hold Novesa USA Inc., Sola and Essien responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay overtime wages to the plaintiffs despite working more than 70 hours per week and failed to pay the mandatory minimum wage.
The plaintiffs seek unpaid wages, liquidated damages, interest, court costs and any further relief the court grants. They are represented by Peter Winebrake and R. Andrew Santillo of Winebrake & Santillo LLC in Dresher.
