HARRISBURG – A Butler-headquartered business is alleged to have failed to remit contributions to a union and two of its funds.
Laborers Local Union 158, Laborers Local Union 158 Health and Welfare Fund and Laborers Local Union 158 Pension Fund filed a complaint on Dec. 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania against Concrete Coring Co. Inc. and Larry Treadway citing the Labor-Management Relations Act and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that the defendants allegedly breached their contractual agreement with the plaintiffs by failing to remit their employees' contributions since June 2017.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants, all unpaid contributions, interest, court costs, 25 percent liquidated damages, $500 in liquidated damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants. They are represented by John B. Dougherty of Ira H. Weinstock P.C. in Harrisburg.
