Carpenters Combined Funds Inc. claims C.F. Bordo owes more than $140,000

PITTSBURGH – A Dunmore construction company is alleged to have failed to pay contributions to a labor union fund.

Carpenters Combined Funds Inc. filed a complaint on Dec. 4 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against C.F. Bordo Inc. citing the Employee Retirement Income Security Act and the Labor-Management Relations Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff and defendants entered into a labor agreement. The plaintiff alleges that the defendant has failed to make timely payments of contributions and wage deductions from May to October.

The plaintiff holds C.F. Bordo Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly breached its bargaining agreement with the plaintiff by failing to remit its employees' monthly contributions.

The plaintiff seeks enjoin the defendant, make immediate payments of all monies past due, require the defendant to file a complete and accurate remittance reports, sum of $140,236.79, liquidated damages, attorneys' fees of 20 percent, court costs and any further relief the court grants.
