Management Recruiters International Inc. alleges North Carolina company is unlawfully using mark

PHILADELPHIA – A Philadelphia corporation claims a North Carolina is unlawfully using its mark to advertise similar services.

Management Recruiters International Inc. filed a complaint on Dec. 11 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against James Henderson Jr. and Insight Hiring Systems LLC alleging trademark infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff owns the MRI mark and has used it since 1968 for employment staffing and consulting services. It alleges the defendants began using the mark Hiring MRI in January 2010.

The plaintiff holds Henderson and Insight Hiring Systems LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly used the MRI mark without license or authorization from the plaintiff.

The plaintiff seeks to enjoin the defendant from further infringing plaintiff's trademark, accounting of all profits received, court costs and any further relief the court grants. It is represented by Elizabeth Gallard and Jenna Torres of Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellot LLC in Philadelphia.
