PHILADELPHIA – A Schwenksville man alleges he was injured from the use of an herbicide.

Jeffrey B. Johnson filed a complaint on Dec. 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Monsanto Co. alleging negligence and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma mantle cell in September caused by his exposure to defendant's Roundup herbicide. The suit states he used the herbicide from 1984 to 2016 during his career as a professional landscaper and followed all safety and precautionary warnings.

The plaintiff holds Monsanto Co. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to warn the plaintiff regarding the dangers of Roundup.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages, economic damages, punitive and exemplary damages, interest, court costs and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Michael A. Cancelliere Jr. of Nass Cancelliere Brenner in Philadelphia.
