HARRISBURG – A Mechanicsburg company alleges an Oklahoma business manufactures a machine that infringes its patent.

Surface Preparation Technologies LLC filed a complaint on Dec. 18 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania against Dickson Industries Inc. alleging patent infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff designs, manufactures and distributes rumble strip cutting machines and is the assignee of the '063 patent.

The plaintiff holds Dickson Industries Inc. responsible because the defendant manufactures and sells its Rumbler 6200 product that the plaintiff alleges infringes at least one claim of the '063 patent.

The plaintiff seeks actual damages, interest, to enjoin the defendant, treble damages and any further relief the court grants. It is represented by Julian E. Neiser and William P. Smith of Spilman Thomas and Battle PLLC in Pittsburgh.
