HARRISBURG – A Springfield, Missouri transportation company has filed suit against multiple entities over damages it alleges it sustained as a result of a collision on Interstate 78.

New Prime Inc. filed a complaint on Feb. 2 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania against Transervice Logistics Inc., Estate of Alfred D. Kinnick, et al. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Feb. 13, 2016, there was a multi-vehicle accident in the westbound lanes of I-78 in Bethel Township in Lebanon County involving all of the defendants. The plaintiff alleges its tractor-trailer was stopped because of the accident and was struck in the rear, damaging its trailer and cargo.

The plaintiff holds Transervice Logistics Inc., Estate of Alfred D. Kinnick, et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to operate a motor vehicle under proper and adequate control and failed to keep a proper lookout.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants for $151,905.01 plus any further damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. It is represented by Cynthia M. Certo of Ryan, Brown, McDonnell, Berger & Gibbons PC in Philadelphia.
