Pentecostal Temple Church alleges insurer wrongfully denied damage claim

PITTSBURGH – A church claims its insurer breached its contract with its denial of its claim for property damage.

Pentecostal Temple Church filed a complaint on Feb. 27 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against Allied Property and Casualty Insurance Co. alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff's property is covered under a commercial insurance policy issued by the defendant. The suit states the plaintiff's property was damaged on Aug. 28, 2016, by wind and hail. and the plaintiff filed a claim with the defendant, which was denied.

The plaintiff holds Allied Property and Casualty Insurance Co. responsible because the defendant allegedly refused to pay the plaintiff for all the benefits due.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant for monetary damages of more than $50,000, property damages, interest, court costs and any further relief the court grants. They are represented by Kenneth G. Fawcett of Bowers & Fawcett LLC in Ambridge.
