PITTSBURGH – A Manor registered nurse claims that his former employer falsified the hours on his paystub.
Erik Blair filed a complaint on behalf of himself and other similarly situated employees on Feb. 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Comprehensive Healthcare Management Services LLC alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Pennsylvania Minimum Wage Act and the Pennsylvania Wage Payment and Collection Law.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff worked for the defendant at its Cheswick Rehabilitation and Wellness Center from September 2017 to Jan. 23. He alleges he regularly worked more than 40 hours per workweek.
The plaintiff holds Comprehensive Healthcare Management Services LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff for all of the overtime hours that he worked. He alleges he worked more hours than what the defendant listed on his paystub.
The plaintiff seeks unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages, court costs, interest and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Joseph H. Chivers of Employment Rights Group in Pittsburgh.
