PHILADELPHIA — An individual is suing SRS Distribution Inc. t/a Superior Distribution for allegedly violating the Family and Medical Leave Act.
Kevin Keenan filed a complaint on March 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendant interfered with his right to FMLA-protected leave.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was approved to take 12 weeks of FMLA leave, but he allegedly was harassed by the district manager upon his return. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly retaliating against him for going on FMLA leave, which allegedly resulted in his termination.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for lost pay, lost bonuses, lost benefits, liquidated damages, compensatory damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Samuel A. Dion of Dion & Goldberger in Philadelphia.
