PITTSBURGH — A minor and her parents are suing Michael Harley, Nancy L. Williams, Donald J. Herres Jr., Clearfield YMCA and YMCA of the U.S.A. for alleged sexual abuse.

Minor Doe, John Doe and Jane Doe filed a complaint on March 20 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County, alleging that they allowed Harley to sexually abuse Minor Doe.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that Minor Doe experienced emotional distress due to allegedly experiencing sexual abuse. The plaintiffs hold the defendants responsible for allegedly refusing to investigate the allegations of inappropriate conduct by their employee, including taking steps to prevent any further incidents.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendants for compensatory and punitive damages in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court, plus interest and any further relief this court grants. They are represented by Robert B. Woomer of Woomer & Talarico LLC in Pittsburgh.
