PHILADELPHIA — An individual is suing Bayview Asset Management LLC and Bayview Loan Servicing LLC for allegedly violating the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act.

Elizabeth Palmer filed a complaint on March 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendants failed to pay her fair wages.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she worked more than 40 hours per week but was not paid any overtime wages. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly converting her into a salary employee, but did not change her duties and allegedly failed to properly compensate her for working more than 40 hours per week. She allegedly was an hourly employee when she started.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensation, all pay and benefits, liquidated or punitive damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Ari R. Karpf of Karpf, Karpf & Cerutti P.C. in Bensalem, Pa.
