PITTSBURGH — An individual is suing PNC Bank for alleged conversion and fraud.

Lori A. Scott filed a complaint on April 4 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County, alleging that she received life insurance proceeds five months late because of the defendant's "obdurate conduct."

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she sustained financial harm because she didn't receive life insurance proceeds she claims she was entitled to in a timely manner. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly converting the life insurance proceeds by attempting to assess assignment interest on the policy in an effort to negotiate a restructuring agreement in a loan it issued her business.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds the arbitration limits of this court. She is represented by Kenneth D. Perkins in Pittsburgh.
