PHILADELPHIA — A consumer is suing several companies, citing alleged negligent misrepresentation.

Derrick Graham filed a complaint on April 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Trans Union LLC, Equifax Information Services LLC, Experian Information Solutions Inc. and GM Financial for allegedly violating the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that the defendants published inaccurate and completely unsubstantiated information about his credit data. Even though he allegedly disputed the alleged inaccuracies, the defendants allegedly continued to publish and disseminate the information to other parties, persons, entities and credit grantors.

The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to delete the inaccurate information from his file and for allegedly failing to employ and follow reasonable procedures to ensure the maximum possible accuracy of his credit report, information and file.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for actual, statutory and punitive damages. He also is asking for the company to immediately and permanently delete all the allegedly inaccurate information. He is represented by Brent F. Vullings of Vullings Law Group LLC in Collegeville.
