Catalyst Outdoor Advertising LLC accuses former employee of accepting job with direct competitor

PHILADELPHIA — A company is suing Jennifer Douglas, a former employee, for allegedly breaching a non-competition agreement.

Catalyst Outdoor Advertising LLC filed a complaint on April 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendant violated a contractual agreement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it has suffered and will continue to suffer substantial and irreparable harm due to losing customer relationships, current and future contracts and goodwill unless the defendant is enjoined by the court. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly seeking employment with its direct competitor and for allegedly soliciting its customers and prospective customers.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks an order enjoining the defendant from violating her employment agreement and from using or retaining its confidential information. The plaintiff also seeks damages of no less than $75,000, disgorgement of the defendant's income, attorney's fees and costs and any further relief that the court deems appropriate.
