PHILADELPHIA — A motorist is suing another motorist for allegedly striking her vehicle.
Maria Bender filed a complaint on April 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Bette Preston, alleging that the defendant operated her vehicle in a negligent, careless and reckless manner.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that her vehicle was struck by the defendant on Oct. 4 at the intersection of Penn Valley Road and New Falls Road in Falls Township, Pa.
As a result, the plaintiff claims that she suffered severe and permanent physical injuries, great financial losses and anguish.
The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to remain alert while operating her vehicle and driving at a dangerous high rate of speed.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in an amount that exceeds $75,000, plus all costs and other relief the court deems necessary. She is represented by Sam Reznik of Simon & Simon PC in Philadelphia.
