PHILADELPHIA — An individual is suing S. Walter Packaging Corp. for alleged age discrimination.

Julie Pohl filed a complaint on April 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendant flagrantly violated the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that the defendant treated a significantly younger co-worker more favorably than her in terms of compensation, account assignment and territory assignment. As a result of the defendant’s alleged conduct, she claims that she has suffered financial damages and emotional distress. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly discriminating against her due to her age.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory and liquidated damages, pre-judgment interest, attorney's fees, costs and disbursements and any other appropriate relief. She is represented by Bruce Preissman in Feasterville, Pa.
