VFW Post 6168 and VFW 406 accused of firing employee after she complained of racial discrimination

HARRISBURG — An individual is suing her former employers, VFW Post 6168 and VFW 406, for allegedly subjecting her to discrimination, a hostile work environment and retaliation.

Lori Davis filed a complaint on April 18 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendants violated the Civil Rights Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was fired after complaining about discriminatory comments made against her husband, who is African American, and her children. As a result, she claims that she has suffered financial damages, emotional distress and pain. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly subjecting her to discrimination, retaliation and a hostile work environment.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory and punitive damages, costs, expenses and all other legal and equitable relief. She is represented by Ari R. Karpf of Karpf, Karpf & Cerutti PC in Bensalem.
