PITTSBURGH — A couple is suing RT Partners LP, Rad Group Inc. and Venango Trails Homeowners Association Inc., citing alleged breach of duty in maintenance of a storm drain system.

Chakradhar Gangineni and Sowmya Mannam filed a complaint in the Allegheny County Courts of Common Pleas, alleging that the defendants breached its duty to maintain the storm water drainage system to keep water from accumulating and avoid mud, rocks and debris from blocking nearby properties.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs' property was blocked by mud, rocks and debris between July 28, 2017 and July 29, 2017 because the community drainage catch basin behind their property allegedly failed to release storm water.

The plaintiffs said their property suffered unresolved damage, causing their tenants to move out. In addition, the plaintiffs said they obtained an estimate of $50,423.35 to repair plumbing, electrical and insulation on their property in connection with the alleged damage.

The plaintiffs claim the defendants failed to regularly inspect, maintain and clean out the storm water inlet on the common area behind their property, causing flooding that resulted in property damage.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek a judgment in excess of $35,000, plus reasonable attorney's fees and the costs of action and any other costs the court deems reasonable. They are represented by Bradley S. Dornish of Dornish Law Offices, PC in Pittsburgh.
