PITTSBURGH — A VIP service coordinator is suing Rivers Casino, citing alleged sex discrimination.

Janean Kletner filed a complaint May 15 in Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas, alleging that the gaming company violated the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act.

According to the complaint, despite being qualified for a VIP service managerial position, Kletner wasn't selected for the job. She claims the casino instead gave the position to a male employee who was not qualified.

The plaintiff alleges that Rivers Casino refused to promote her because of her gender.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks lost wages, front pay, punitive damages, legal fees and expenses, costs and other just and proper relief. She is represented by Christi M. Wallace of Kraemer, Manes & Associates LLC in Pittsburgh.
