Former CEO accuses Liberation Behavioral Health of breach of contract

Wrongful term 14

PHILADELPHIA — A former chief executive officer is suing Liberation Behavioral Health LLC, LBH Holdings LLC and Thomas Greer, citing alleged breach of contract, tortious interference and wrongful termination.

Jason Gerner filed a complaint July 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendants breached their duties of good faith and fair dealing.

According to the complaint, Gerner was fired on June 18, resulting in lost wages, future earnings and other benefits. The plaintiff said he was also removed from Liberation's board of managers.

Gerner claims he was fired without valid cause, and the defendants failed to provide agreed upon benefits and a severance package.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual, compensatory, punitive, consequential, incidental, nominal and expectation damages, interest, attorney's fees, costs and further relief as the court deems just. He is represented by William Rubley and Scott Good of Subranni Zauber LLC in Marlton, New Jersey.
