State Farm blames Bob's Heating & Cooling for property damage

PHILADELPHIA — State Farm Fire & Casualty Co. is suing Robert Southrey, individually and doing business as Bob's Heating & Cooling, citing alleged negligence and breach of warranty.

State Farm filed a complaint Aug. 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania on behalf of insured parties Frank and Nancy Luca, claiming the HVAC contractor failed to properly perform his work.

According to the complaint, as a result of the defendant's alleged negligence, the Lucas sustained damages to their real and personal property, as well as additional expenses and hardships, in an amount in excess of $150,000.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks a judgment in an amount in excess of $150,000 plus, interest, costs, attorney's fees and other appropriate relief. It is represented by Daniel de Luca of de Luca Levine LLC in Blue Bell.
