Stylists sue Alison Park salon for unpaid wages

Lawsuits
Wrongful term 14

PITTSBURGH — Two stylists are suing Alison Park's Laurie's Total Salon LLC and Laurie Tommarello, their former employer, citing alleged violation of a wage payment act.

Diana Rousseau and Kelly Lofink filed a complaint on Aug. 28, in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas against the defendants alleging they violated the Pennsylvania Wage Payment and Collection Act.

According to the complaint, Kelly Lofink was maliciously terminated on Aug. 6 and Diana Rousseau resigned her employment with defendant on Aug, 14. The plaintiffs allege that as a result of defendant's actions, they suffered financial losses, embarrassment, humiliation and emotional distress.

The plaintiffs hold Laurie's Total Salon LLC and Laurie Tommarello responsible because the defendants allegedly failed and refused to pay the full amounts due and payable to them.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendants in excess of $35,000. They are represented by Avrum Levicoff and Sunshine Fellows of The Levicoff Law Firm PC in Pittsburgh.
