WILKES-BARRE — A patient and his wife are suing a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs hospital for $15 million, citing alleged negligence and malpractice.

Paul W. David and Sharon K. David filed a complaint on Sept. 7, in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, alleging that Wilkes-Barre Veterans Affairs Medical Center failed to properly assess and treat plaintiff's tumor.

The plaintiffs allege that, between Oct. 24, 2014, and Feb. 22, 2016, Paul W. David underwent different medical procedures and treatment, including a CT scan, MRI, colonoscopy and laparotomy.

Mrs. David has been and continues to be deprived of the consortium, comfort, society, companionship, services, and assistance of her husband.

The plaintiffs allege the medical center radiologists allegedly failed to diagnose the neuroendocrine tumor that Mr. David was suffering from by October or November 2014.

They are represented by Armin Feldman in Lehighton.
