PITTSBURGH — A jogger is suing Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority and the City of Pittsburgh, citing alleged negligence.

Natalia Doroshenko filed a complaint on Oct. 8 in the Allegheny County Courts of Common Pleas against the defendants, alleging they failed to properly maintain the right of way.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 17, 2018, she was running or jogging in Lawrenceville when she stepped into a hole and fell. She fractured her left knee, left leg and foot, the suit says. The plaintiff holds Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority and the City of Pittsburgh responsible because the defendants allegedly negligently allowed the sidewalk to be blocked by a landscaping sign and failed to properly repair the hole in the street.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in a sum exceeding $35,000. She is represented by John F. Becker and John E. Becker of Becker & Becker in Pittsburgh.
