PITTSBURGH — A former employee is suing Brenda B. Sebring, d/b/a Sebring & Associates, a law firm, citing alleged breach of contract and unpaid wages.

Christopher J. Mitchell filed a complaint on Dec. 30 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against the defendants, alleging they failed to compensate the employee with his proper wages and benefits.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges he suffered damages and losses as a result of the unlawful act of the defendants in refusing to pay in full his 2015 and 2016 Additional Compensation for Fee Income according to an Associate Attorney Employment Agreement that both parties entered into on April 18, 2012, now amounting to $28,162 and which remains unpaid even after his resignation on Sept. 23, 2016.

The plaintiff holds Brenda B. Sebring, d/b/a Sebring & Associates, responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to account for any income derived by plaintiff related to the Closing Services Income in Employee’s Fee Income.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants in an amount exceeding $35,000, liquidated damages, costs of suit, attorneys' fees, and other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Christine Elzer of Elzer Law Firm LLC in Pittsburgh.
