ECKERT SEAMANS: Seasoned Complex Commercial Litigator Frank Emmerich Jr. joins Eckert Seamans in Philadelphia

Partnership

Eckert Seamans issued the following announcement on Jan. 29.

Eckert Seamans is pleased to welcome member Frank R. Emmerich Jr. to the firm’s Philadelphia office and Litigation Division. He focuses his practice in complex commercial litigation, specifically in matters involving disputes involving closely held businesses, contract claims, trade secrets and unfair competition, restrictive covenants, and intellectual property. He has also developed an extensive injunctive practice, frequently appearing in federal and state courts.

Many of Emmerich’s clients rely on his judgment and skills in their moment of immediate business survival. Whether it is unwinding a business relationship, protecting a constitutionally protected business practice, enjoining protesters, protecting architectural plans, managing restrictive covenants, halting an aggressive takeover of a privately held company, or protecting a $1 billion trade secret of a Fortune 100 company, his clients know he can rapidly present their interests, putting together a complex puzzle without extensive discovery.

Emmerich is a fellow of the Academy of Advocacy of Temple University Law School and a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association and the Lawyers Club of Philadelphia. He earned his J.D. in 1995 from Widener University School of Law, where he served as editor-in-chief of the Law Review. He earned his B.A., magna cum laude, in 1992 from Cabrini University, and has served on the university’s Board of Trustees since 2009, and was appointed chair in July 2018.
