Lewis Brisbois issued the following announcement on Feb. 7.
Philadelphia Partner Christopher E. Ballod will speak at the 2019 Winter Bench Bar event hosted by the Washington County Bar Association on March 1st at the Hilton Garden Inn Southpointe.
His presentation, “How to Hack a Hacker: Protecting Client Data,” will cover the general legal and ethical framework for data security obligations, basic data security awareness, and the importance of planning for the worst. The presentation will also explore a variety of attacks, ranging from simple phishing scams to ransomware attacks and credential-stealing Trojans.
Mr. Ballod is a member of Lewis Brisbois’ Data Privacy & Cybersecurity. He regularly counsels clients in the prevention of data breach incidents, and during the response and notification process after an incident occurs. Mr. Ballod possesses the Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) credentials for both the United States and Europe.
