Plum company alleges Borough of Sewickley owes more than $50,000 for road repairs

PITTSBURGH – A Plum company is suing an Allegheny County borough alleging it was not paid for construction work it performed.

A. Lieberoni Inc. filed a complaint in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas against the Borough of Sewickley citing the Pennsylvania Contractor and Subcontractor Payment Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff and defendant entered into a contract in June 2018 for roadway improvements for the amount of $679,144 plus any additional change orders. 

The plaintiff alleges it has fulfilled the work that it agreed to, the defendant has failed to pay the plaintiff the full balance owed. 

The plaintiff alleges it is still owed a balance of $54,714.12. 

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Howard F. Murphy.
