LANCASTER – A man has filed a lawsuit against a family practice and a hospital over allegations he was sexually assaulted by a physician for several years.

John Doe No. 1 filed a complaint on April 24 in the Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas against Stephen Diamantoni & Associates Family Practice PC and Lancaster General Health alleging negligence and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges beginning in 1990 when he was 15, he met Dr. William Vollmar, who was employed by Diamantoni and had privileges at Lancaster General. The plaintiff alleges he was active in sports and Vollmar worked in the athletic training room at a school.

The plaintiff alleges that Vollmar gained his trust and then began to assault the plaintiff by touching his genitals, masturbating, conducting oral sex on the plaintiff and otherwise sexually abusing him over the course of several years.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to reasonably supervise Vollmar and failed to report him to the relevant authorities.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Benjamin D. Andreozzi and Nathaniel Foote of Andreozzi & Associates PC in Harrisburg.
