Shot to the groin, ensuing fight between two men lead to lawsuit

PITTSBURGH – A Bridgeville man is seeking damages from a Pittsburgh man over an alleged fight that occurred at a bar and restaurant that left him with a concussion.

Dorin Dickerson filed a complaint in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas against Ray Toomey alleging assault and battery and negligence.

According to the complaint, on July 22, 2018, the defendant and plaintiff were at The Flats, a bar and restaurant in Pittsburgh. The defendant allegedly made a statement about the plaintiff's sexuality and hit the plaintiff's testicles. The defendant allegedly later pushed the plaintiff to the ground and struck the plaintiff a number of times.

The plaintiff alleges as a result of the incident, he sustained a concussion, sprained right ankle and two chipped teeth.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Sara Linkosky and John Linkosky of John Linkosky and Associates in Carnegie.
