PITTSBURGH – A West Mifflin pharmacy alleges a former pharmacy technician and her boyfriend ordered and stole more than $500,000 in quantities of a controlled substance.

Johnson's Pharmaceutical Services Inc. filed the suit against the Rena Schleehauf and Donald Wislick on Sept. 3 in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas alleging conversion.

Johnson's Pharmaceutical's complaint states it hired Schleehauf as a pharmacy technician in late 2015 and beginning in September 2016, she stole a specific type of pharmaceutical drug.

The plaintiff alleges Schleehauf and Wislick "consumed or otherwise disposed of the vast majority of the stolen drugs, and stored a small quantity that remained as of late July 2019 in their shared residence. That remaining quantity of the drug was seized from the defendants' residence and impounded by law enforcement authorities in late July 2019."

The plaintiff alleges it paid $518,484 for the drug Schleehauf ordered between September 2016 to July 18.

Johnson's Pharmaceuticals is seeking $518,484 as well as punitive damages. It is represented by David Jones Jr. of Levicoff Law Firm PC in Pittsburgh.
