MEDIA — PECO Energy has filed a suit against the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PENNDOT) and USIC Locating Services after its underground gas main was damaged during excavation work.

Peco Energy Co. filed a complaint April 5 in the Delaware Court of Common Pleas alleging negligence, trespass and breach of contract.

PECO alleges in its complaint that PENNDOT struck its underground gas main while doing excavation work at an intersection in Radnor Township on Oct. 22, 2018. PECO alleges that $17,413.84 worth of damage was done at the location. PECO also claims USIC had been contracted by PENNDOT to mark the area for underground gas lines.

PECO seeks monetary relief of $17,413.84, interest and all other just relief. It is represented by Susan Foehl of Philadelphia.
