PITTSBURGH — Aldi Market is facing a negligence lawsuit by a woman alleging she suffered injuries and permanent scarring after a pole from a store display struck her in the face.

Rosemary Peluso filed a complaint April 15 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against Aldi Inc., alleging negligence.

Peluso was shopping at the Aldi Market in Wexford on April 21, 2018. She alleges that while walking down the aisle, a pole from one of the displays fell and struck her in the face.

Peluso claims she suffered a four-to-five-inch laceration from her forehead to the bridge of her nose. She was taken to Allegheny General for treatment and alleges she has a "prominent" scar from the stitches.

Peluso seeks monetary relief, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Joseph Froetschel of Gismondi & Associates PC in Pittsburgh.
