Troutman Pepper Hamilton LLP issued the following announcement on July 22.
Troutman Pepper Partners Raymond Miller and Nicole Stakleff of the Pittsburgh office have been named to the ninth edition of Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) Patent 1000, a list of the world’s leading patent professionals. Both are recognized for their work in health sciences intellectual property law. In addition to being recognized in the IAM Patent 1000, Miller was also included in the IAM Strategy 300, which recognizes those “leading the way in the development and implementation of strategies that maximise the value of IP portfolios.”
According to the guide, which is based on more than 1,800 interviews with attorneys and in-house counsel, Troutman Pepper is also a recommended firm “thanks to its compelling life and health sciences capabilities.” The firm’s “dedicated industry group brings together corporate lawyers, IP specialists and litigators and, as such, is ideally situated to provide 360-degree counsel and holistic problem-solving services; the firm doesn’t just stop at the patents, but also excels when it comes to regulatory exclusivity, marketing and many other issues.”
Miller has been included in the guide since 2014 and is specifically noted in the guide this year for “providing solid leadership” and knowing “not just how to protect innovations, but also how to make them shine on commercial markets.” Miller helps clients to identify, protect, secure, and optimize the value of their intellectual property. His clients include private equity and venture capital funds, emerging biotechnology firms, world-class medical and research facilities, and Fortune 500 companies with well-developed intellectual property portfolios.
Stakleff is recognized by IAM as a “commercially focused and hugely experienced” attorney. She focuses on intellectual property law, including developing product exclusivity strategies, strategic patent prosecution and counseling, due diligence, and transactional support. Her clients include those in the pharmaceutical, biologic, nutraceutical, cosmetic, medical device, and other health and life sciences fields.
