Greenberg Traurig LLP issued the following announcement on Sept. 29.
Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP Shareholder Kelly Dobbs Bunting has been recognized for the third consecutive year in the 2020 guide of Who’s Who Legal: Labour & Employment.
Bunting serves as the co-chair of the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice’s Workforce Compliance & Regulatory Enforcement group. Since 2014, Bunting has been included in The Legal 500 United States for her work in Labor and Employment: Workplace and Employment Counseling, and is a member of Philadelphia’s first-tier ranked Labor & Employment Practice by U.S. News-Best Lawyers.
According to the publication, the WWL guide includes those who receive the highest number of recommendations from peers and clients. This list is compiled based on research, including feedback from corporate counsel and interviews. The guide recognizes the leading labour and employment lawyers, selecting only those who meet the publication’s independent international criteria for the guide
Innovative approaches to complex financial issues faced by clients earned top honors from a leading publication for Shareholder Vanessa Albert Lowry, a member of the Public Finance and Infrastructure Practice at global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP.
The Philadelphia Business Journal named Lowry to its annual “Best of the Bar” listing, which encompasses 40 lawyers across the Greater Philadelphia region, selected by an independent judging panel.
“Vanessa and the entire Public Finance and Infrastructure team does incredible work on behalf of municipalities, state governments, hospitals, transit agencies, and more – across Pennsylvania and throughout the United States,” said Curtis B. Toll, managing shareholder for the law firm’s Philadelphia office. “We’re thrilled for this recognition, particularly at this time when she and the team have been guiding so many anxious clients seeking to maintain business continuity throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Lowry is a tax and financial transactions attorney who focuses her practice on public finance and asset securitization matters. She has significant experience in higher education; private, charter and public school finance; governmental financing; nonprofit organizations; airport special facilities; public-private partnerships and affordable housing, as well as restructuring of troubled debt. While the practice members are found in locations across the country, a substantial number of them are based in Philadelphia. It was the inaugural practice when the office was founded in 1997.
Since 2013, Lowry has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America for public finance law. She was a member of the Global M&A Network’s 2019 Turnaround Atlas Awards team for mid-market Chapter 11 restructuring and a member of a 2019 Turnaround Management Association’s Chicago/Midwest Awards-winning team.
The 2020 “Best of the Bar” award categories include business, employment, white-collar criminal defense, intellectual property, and personal injury litigation, as well as bankruptcy, corporate, real estate, tax, employee benefits, and in-house counsel excellence.
