COZEN O'CONNOR: PBA Names 2020 Commission on Women in the Profession (WIP) Award on Behalf of H. Robert Fiebach

Cozen O'Connor issued the following announcement on Mar. 11.

The Pennsylvania Bar Association has named its 2020 Commission on Women in the Profession (WIP) Award on behalf of H. Robert Fiebach, senior counsel in Cozen O’Connor’s  Commercial Litigation Department and co-chair of the firm’s Legal Malpractice Group. Formerly known as the Promotion of Women in the Law Award, the Robert Fiebach Promotion of Women in the Law Award  honors Pennsylvania law firms and solo practitioners, corporate law departments, and other organizations providing legal services that have instituted programs or initiatives that help women lawyers continue and advance in their careers while maintaining a work/life balance. This year’s honorees are the law firms of Berner Klaw & Watson,  and Lanard and Associates.

Robert was a past president of the PBA, and in that role and in private practice he made the incorporation of more women into the legal profession, the PBA and PBA leadership roles among his top priorities.

Robert is an accomplished appellate advocate. He has successfully handled many appeals within his practice areas in the Pennsylvania Superior and Supreme Courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He has also successfully handled appeals in the Federal Courts of Appeal for the Second and Fourth Circuits. Robert has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America since 1995 in four categories and was selected by Best Lawyers as its Philadelphia Litigation-Real Estate Lawyer of the Year for 2014 and Legal Malpractice Law - Defendants Lawyer of the Year for 2021. Robert sits on the boards of The Defender Association and the American Jewish Committee of Philadelphia. He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, is a past president of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and past chair of the ABA Standing Committee on Lawyers Professional Liability.
