PITTSBURGH - A Greensburg couple sued the Monro Auto Service and Tire Center in Johnstown after ice in the center's parking lot allegedly caused injuries, according to documents filed in February in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.

Plaintiff Alexander Strangis says he was delivering tires to Monro on Feb. 18, 2019, as part of his job with Flynn's Tires. According to the suit, Strangis carefully drove to the side of the building mindful of the fact that the parking lot was covered in ice.

When Strangis exited his box truck, he slipped on the ice, falling backwards and hitting his head on the pavement, the suit claims. The plaintiff says he suffered a concussion, neck pain and decreased range of motion, nausea, dizziness, back pain and other injuries.

The man sued Monro for its alleged negligence in keeping people on the premises safe and failing to warn Strangis of a dangerous situation.

Strangis is represented by Conboy Law LLC of Pittsburgh. He and his wife are demanding judgements in excess of the court's arbitration limit.
