Erie woman requests $375K in personal injury payout from armored car service after collision

ERIE - An Erie woman seeks damages in federal court after she was struck by an armored car. 

According to the complaint filed on April 12 in the Western District of Pennsylvania, plaintiff Jennifer Lyons was traveling in her vehicle near the intersection of State St. and W 26th St. in Erie on Sept. 24, 2019, when she was in a car collision allegedly at the fault of the defendants.

The armored car was owned by defendants Loomis Armored US LLC and Loomis Armored US Inc., and was operated by defendant Shawn Hill. Hill allegedly hit Lyons' car while attempting to make a U-turn. 

Lyons' complaint says she was seriously injured in the collision.

The defendants are charged with negligence, negligent entrustment and respondeat superior, totaling at least $375,000 in requested damages. 

Lyons is represented by Simon and Simon PC.
