Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP recently issued the following announcement.

Join Maria Panichelli on Monday, December 13, 2021, as she presents at AFCEA Small Business Webinar, titled “Federal Contractor Compliance with COVID 19 Protocols: Crucial Concepts and Considerations.”

The new COVID 19 Safety Protocols and related Task Force Guidance are among the most impactful government contracting developments of the year. As the requirement to comply with these guidelines is incorporated into all new Federal contracts (as well as many existing Federal contracts), contractors will need to comply with a slew of new safety protocols. This includes employee vaccination mandates (and monitoring/documenting employee vaccination status), masking/physical distancing requirements (and related weekly monitoring and signage creation) and the designation of a COVID coordinator. Contractors will also need to flow down COVID protocol clauses to their subs. If you do business with the Federal government, it is vital that you understand your new obligations or risk major noncompliance issues. With all the misinformation out there, do you know what is required of you? In this webinar, experienced government contracts attorney Maria Panichelli will tell you what you need to know. She will explain where these new protocols came from, and walk you through compliance requirements in detail, including who and what contracts are covered, and what covered contractors need to do in regard to the vaccine mandates, masking/physical distancing, the designation of a COVID-19 coordinator, and subcontractor flow-down. Maria will discuss medical and religious accommodations, and answer some of the most common questions relating to enforcement, interaction/conflict with other laws, and subcontractor compliance. Finally, the webinar will finish up with the key considerations contractors need to keep in mind with regard to both new contracts and modifications to existing contracts.
