Federal Court
Police 04

PHILADELPHIA — A woman alleges City of Philadelphia police officers had the wrong address when they entered her home with a search warrant.

Florence Fourcade filed a complaint Dec. 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against John Doe 1-8, Jane Doe 1-3 and the City of Philadelphia alleging civil rights violations.

According to her complaint, Fourcade and her two young daughters were asleep in her home on South Etting Street in Philadelphia on Jan. 17, 2020, when police officers commanded her to open her door. She claims that the officers entered her home with a search warrant, entered her daughters' rooms with guns drawn and after 20 minutes, stated they had the wrong house.

Fourcade also claims an officer dropped a battering ram that damaged her steps.

Fourcade seeks monetary relief, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. She is represented by Noah Cohen of Greenblatt, Pierce, Funt and Flores LLC in Philadelphia.
